Ah… the world of Manga and Anime! The world that lets your imagination runs wild and creativity runs free I was introduced into this world from a very tender age, together with a group of close comrads. Besides burrying our noses in mangas and drooling over sexy anime men, we’ve also attempted to create our very own manga characters! However, most of us soon gave up… most except Mirei!

Mirei is a wonderful artist! Her talent for drawing manga-like characters has been prominent since young. I mean, compared to her, out artwork looked plain and dodgy. We were always fascinated by her drawing, as it was very detailed and beautiful. I am glad that she continues to draw even after so many years.

Over the years, instead of drawing on plain old white paper, Mirei has moved on to creating manga characters using Paint (The above is one of her works)! Now.. that is really something, I can’t even draw a perfect stickman using Paint. But one thing is for sure, Mirei still prefers the ‘androgynous’ look – men with long hair and big eyes that tend to look like ladies. But hey! We don’t mind that, her men are drool-worthy!

I remember one of her favourite stories was ‘The love story of Kurama and Botan’. She drew boxes and added on the characters and background on plain paper chapter by chapter. We were a fan of the story and was always pestering her for the next chapter. It was entertaining and hilarious! She most definitely has the flare and creativity to draw a story.Perhaps one day I can get a sample from her and feature it here…
